It’s officially been more than two weeks since the NFL’s legal tampering portion of free agency started, and most of the big fish have been reeled in.
That means it’s time for our third Detroit News mock draft for 2026, where we’ll try to decipher which direction teams could go now that their needs are mostly settled. As a reminder, this is a mere exercise to see which players could be available for the Detroit Lions at No. 17.
For Mock Draft 1.0, writers Nolan Bianchi and Richard Silva collaborated on each pick. For Mock Draft 2.0, Bianchi made the odd picks, and Silva made the evens. For this edition, Silva is making the odd picks, and Bianchi the evens.
