Miami RedHawks rank 21st in new AP Top 25 men's basketball poll

The 27-0 Miami University RedHawks are ranked No. 21 in the latest AP Top 25 men’s college basketball poll released Feb. 23, up from 22nd one week earlier.

The RedHawks received 335 votes in the new poll. Miami defeated Bowling Green, 91-77, on Feb. 20.

Miami is the only undefeated Div. I men’s basketball team in the country.

The RedHawks are 14-0 in Mid-American Conference play this season. They are scheduled to play next on the road at Eastern Michigan on Feb. 24 at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN+.

RedHawks head coach Travis Steele said during an interview with Rece Davis on ESPN’s “College GameDay” that he’ll commit to wearing a Speedo and being hoisted in the air while making a swimming motion at the team’s NCAA tournament Selection Sunday watch party, if MU finishes the regular season undefeated and wins the MAC tournament.

Oxford’s Brick Street Bar, near Miami’s campus, celebrated Team USA’s overtime goal in men’s hockey to defeat Canada for Olympic gold.
