“During the investigation, deputies learned two unknown males and an unknown female were on the victim’s property,” according to a sheriff’s department statement. “When the victim confronted the individuals, one of the males pulled out a handgun.”

The suspects then got into a pickup truck and fled, sheriff’s officials said.

“The victim followed them in her vehicle when one of the males fired the handgun at the victim striking the vehicle multiple times,” the statement said. The woman was not struck.

Investigators soon found the truck believed to be involved in the shooting at a mobile home park in the 22800 block of Bear Valley Road, according to officials and county booking records.

Deputies found evidence including fired bullet casings and arrested 33-year-old Damien Mikeal Booth of Apple Valley as a suspect, officials said.

He was booked on suspicion of attempted murder and criminal conspiracy, records show.

Bail for Booth was set at $1.2 million pending an initial court appearance.

The two additional suspects remained at large.

No further details were available.
