CLEVELAND – Canton-based Goodwill of Greater Cleveland and East Central Ohio will open its newest retail store Sept. 25 in Cleveland’s Gordon Square neighborhood.
With the addition of the Gordon Square store at 6512 Franklin Blvd., the local Goodwill operates 21 retail stores, two bookstores and two outlets across its 10-county service area in Ohio and West Virginia.
A VIP ribbon-cutting ceremony will start the celebration, and the store will open to the public at 9 a.m. The first 200 customers in the store will receive a Gordon Square-inspired Goodwill tote bag.
The event will feature a live radio remote with Jen Picciano from WMJI Majic 105.7 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with music and prizes giveaways. The Odd Dog Coffee Truck will serve fall-themed beverages outside the store until noon.
“We are thrilled to open our doors in the Gordon Square community,” said Diane Pilati, vice president of marketing at Goodwill. “Every purchase and donation fuels Goodwill’s mission to help people overcome barriers, build skills, and achieve lasting success through our 30 different mission programs. This store represents not just retail growth, but more opportunities to serve Northeast Ohio.”
