Half a dozen high schools in El Paso are ranked as some of the best in Texas, according to a recently released report.
U.S. News and World Report released its 2025-26 rankings on Aug. 19, which evaluated 24,000 public schools across the country and ranked nearly 18,000. Nearly 1,600 schools in Texas made the list.

Schools were ranked based on college readiness indicators, state test scores, graduation rates and academic performance of historically underserved populations, according to U.S. News.
The top high schools in the state are located in Dallas, Austin, and Houston, with The School for the Talented and Gifted in Dallas ranking as number one in Texas.
Here are the El Paso high schools that made the top 100 in Texas:
In El Paso County, Clint ISD Early College Academy also made the top 100 with a ranking of 56.
