USA TODAY mock draft sends three Texas A&M stars in first two rounds

After leading college football with 13 players appearing at the 2026 NFL Combine, many Texas A&M stars are predicted to hear their names called in next week’s draft.

Entering just his third season at the helm in Bryan-College Station, Mike Elko has built an impressive track record of sending his players to the next level. In the 2025 NFL Draft, Shemar Stewart, Nic Scourton and Shemar Turner were selected in the first two rounds. Elko has rapidly established an NFL pipeline at Texas A&M, with multiple Aggies predicted to play on Sundays in 2026.

With less than a week remaining until the draft, here are the Texas A&M stars that USA Today NFL reporter Ayrton Ostly projected will be selected in the first two rounds:

WR KC Concepcion – Cleveland Browns (Round 1 – No. 24 overall)

Career notables:

“Cleveland gets a dynamic wide receiver with their second first-round pick in Concepcion. The Texas A&M product is the best open-field threat among these top receiving talents and could provide a skillset the Browns don’t have on the roster. He’d offer immediate value as a returner and give whoever starts at quarterback another solid pass-catcher after Jerry Jeudy and Harold Fannin Jr.,” Ostly said.

IOL Chase Bisontis – Seattle Seahawks (Round 2 – No. 33 overall)

Career notables:

“Seattle recouped a little more draft capital by leaving the end of the first round and Bisontis is a great consolation prize. The Seahawks boosted the interior offensive line with Grey Zabel last year and bring on a former tackle in Bisontis to shore up the other guard spot. He brings tackle experience, quick feet and consistent hands,” Ostly said.

Edge Cashius Howell – Pittsburgh Steelers (Round 2 – No. 53 overall)

Career notables:

“Howell falls well out of the first round thanks to his outlier arm length (30 ¼ inches). The Steelers looked past that with Nick Herbig in 2023 and could do something similar with Howell here. The Aggies product is a bendy edge rusher with the burst to impact opposing offensive lines. In Pittsburgh, he could at least be a rotational pass rusher from Day 1,” Ostly said.

The 2026 NFL Draft is a three-day event, beginning on Thursday, April 23, and ending on Saturday, April 25. Thursday’s first round will begin at 7 p.m. CT, followed by the second round on Friday at 6 p.m. CT and the remaining selections on Saturday at 11 a.m. CT. The draft from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, will be broadcast on the NFL Network, ABC, ESPN, ESPN2 and ESPN Deportes.
