This marks the second time Harvey received the award. She also won it in 2023.

This year the honor came after Harvey led Team USA to the gold medal at the Olympics and Wisconsin to a second straight national championship and third title in four seasons.

At the Olympics, Harvey led the United States in minutes played and led all Olympians with in plus/minus (+14). She was named the tournament’s most valuable player and top defender.

At Wisconsin, she claimed first-team All-American distinction for the third straight year and won the Patty Kazmaier Award, which is given to the nation’s top women’s college player. She finished the season ranked No. 1 nationally in assists per game (1.39) and second in points per game (1.94).

Next up for Harvey will be the Professional Women’s Hockey League draft, which is scheduled for June 17 in Detroit.
