Radio personality Casey Daniels announces exit from WIBS

Months after radio personality Rob Kendall was let go from 93.1 WIBC-FM, his former co-host is departing the station.

Casey Daniels, formerly one half of the “Kendall and Casey” show on WIBC, announced May 21 she’s leaving the station on the air, the Indianapolis Business Journal first reported. Casey helmed the station’s 9 a.m. to noon slot with her husband, Jim Kehoe, following Kendall’s February exit.

“My time at WIBC has been one of the most rewarding and also challenging experiences of my career,” Daniels said on the show. “I’m proud and thankful to have been part of such an iconic, legendary station.”

Daniels will host her last show May 22 before moving with Kehoe, former communications director for Indiana Lt. Gov. Micah Beckwith, to Virginia, she said. Daniels stressed the decision to leave was her own.

Daniels joined WIBC in 2022, replacing Miriam “Mock” Weaver as Kendall’s co-host. She previously had stints as both on-air talent and in programming roles with stations in Detroit, South Bend and at 99.5 WZPL in Greenfield, among other credits.

Daniels’ exit comes months after Kendall’s departure following a contract dispute with Radio One, WIBC’s owner. Talks to renew Kendall’s contract after it expired the previous October had stalled, leaving Kendall off the air from mid-January until Radio One formally let Kendall go at the beginning of February.
