Wisconsin to alter football, men's basketball, hockey jerseys in 2026

The Wisconsin Badgers have followed suit and are changing up their jerseys for the 2026 season.

In the NIL era, advertisements and sponsors have taken center stage. Here in Madison, things are no different.

UW officially announced on Tuesday, June 30, that Culvers is the official jersey patch sponsor for Badgers football, men’s basketball, and men’s hockey.

“There are few things more quintessentially Wisconsin than Culver’s. This partnership is a natural fit for our jersey sponsorship, it’s a beloved brand among Badgers and a longtime partner of Wisconsin Athletics,” Deputy AD/Chief Revenue Officer Mitchell Pinta said in the press release. “Beyond the sponsorship, Culver’s will play an active role in engaging and creating meaningful opportunities for our student-athletes.”

Craig Culver, the co-founder of Culver’s, added, “From the field to the court to the ice, Culver’s is proud to stand beside these world-class student-athletes and to celebrate every moment right alongside the families and fans across Wisconsin who love them.”

There’s no doubt Culver’s is a staple of Wisconsin; just ask J.J. Watt. Whether it’s the cheese curds or a classic concrete mixer, Culver’s will now have even more eyes drawn to the chain in a groundbreaking deal as the Badgers’ first jersey patch sponsor.

Badgers’ Evan Flood confirmed the new football uniforms will make their debut at Lambeau Field on Sunday, September 6, against Notre Dame.
