USA Today’s latest seven-round mock draft sees the inclusion of just one Wisconsin Badgers football player.
Safety Austin Brown was selected No. 238 overall by the Miami Dolphins in Ayrton Ostly’s mock draft.

It’s no secret that Wisconsin has had a rough few years, and they aren’t developing talent like they used to. Of the 257 draft picks, the Badgers managed to have just one player selected in Ostly’s mock draft.
The Dolphins just brought over former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, so this pick would do wonders for Brown’s career. Hafley needed just two years to go from being a college coach to becoming the head coach of a struggling NFL team.
Brown spent all four of his collegiate seasons in Madison. The Illinois native stands 6-foot-1, 213-pounds, and recorded 129 total tackles in his career.
The safety is coming off a year where he had 27 solo tackles and 13 assisted. He posted a career-high 51 total tackles in 2024, which, to no surprise, included career-highs in solo (30) and assisted (21) tackles. He’s also added eight pass deflections, two sacks, and a forced fumble in his career.
