Wisconsin football’s Big Ten opener will be under a national spotlight.
The Badgers’ Week 4 home game against Maryland on Sept. 20 will kick off at 11 a.m., the team announced Monday. NBC will broadcast the game.
It will be the second consecutive week with an early kickoff and a national spotlight for the Badgers. They also will play at Alabama on Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. The Wisconsin-Alabama game will be on ABC.
The Terrapins are 2-0 so far this season, with their wins coming against Florida Atlantic and Northern Illinois. They were picked to finish 16th out of 18 teams in the USA Today Network’s preseason poll of beat writers in the conference. They are the only one of Wisconsin’s nine Big Ten opponents to be picked behind the Badgers, which were 12th in the poll.
