Ready or not, another celebrity twist is set to be unleashed on “Survivor 50.”
“Survivor 50: In the Hands of the Fans” didn’t just incorporate fan votes into this historic season, but it has called on multiple celebrity fans to play a role in the direction of the game, much to the chagrin of many viewers.
Last week, it was “The Tonight Show” host Jimmy Fallon, whose controversial involvement played a role in a fan favorite going home.
Fallon wasn’t in Fiji to hear the wrath of Christian Hubicki, who was on the receiving end of the twist and sent to the jury. But the next celebrity – social media mogul MrBeast – will appear in person during a challenge on the CBS reality TV competition.
And MrBeast is set to unleash a dish full of chaos during the popular “Survivor” auction.
What will happen when he arrives on the scene with a briefcase? And who will the next person to be voted out?

Did CBS extend Survivor 50 episode for special guest appearance?
“Survivor” is typically 90 minutes but throughout season 50 there have been extended episodes, including a never-before-non-finale three-hour episode in the premiere.
The April 29 episode will be one of these extended episodes, airing for two hours.
It’s not clear how long special guest MrBeast be part of the episode. He’s set to appear during the auction so his involvement might not be as pronounced as when country singer Zac Brown showed up to Fiji, went fishing and performed for the winners of a challenge, plus received more confessionals than some of the contestants.
But his impact is expected to loom large over the game.

“One castaway comes clean to the tribe about a previously deceptive move. The crowd favorite Survivor auction returns, with an extra special season 50 spin. Chaos ensues when social media icon MrBeast arrives on the scene.”

Who is Mr Beast on Survivor?
MrBeast, whose real name is James Stephen Donaldson, gained his fame on YouTube during his teenage years and has become a prominent creator in the world.
The 27-year-old’s 480 million YouTube subscribers are the most in the world and his 126.5 million TikTok followers are third-most. He also has 86.6 million Instagram followers.
In 2024, Donaldson was part of a team that launched a reality competition series called “Beast Games” in which contestants compete for $5 million. Donaldson serves as the host for the show, which streams on Prime Video.
Time Magazine included Donaldson as the world’s 100 most influential people and he also was part of Time 100 Creators list in 2025.
His net worth is $2.6 billion, Fortune estimates.
Why is MrBeast on Survivor?
MrBeast’s appearance is part of a crossover between his show, “Beast Games” and “Survivor.”
The “Survivor” production team hosted challenges for “Beast Games” before filming of season 50. “Survivor” host Jeff Probst was the co-host of the crossover.
Who won Survivor 50? Survivor season finale
The winner of “Survivor 50” will be announced during the three-hour season finale on Wednesday, May 20.
A live reunion, the first to occur since season 39, will also take place from Los Angeles as part of the finale.
