The Milwaukee Brewers enter their final series before the all-star break by hosting the Washington Nationals in a three-game series July 11-13 at American Family Field.
The Brewers are coming off a scintillating 3-2 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers in 10 innings that completed a series sweep of the reigning World Series champions behind their pitching and defense.
The highlight of this weekend should be when Brandon Woodruff takes the mound July 12 for his first start at home in a little under two years. Woodruff was sensational in his return to the majors on July 6 in Miami, holding the Marlins to one run on two hits with no walks and eight strikeouts.
Milwaukee enters the series at 53-40, two games behind the first-place Chicago Cubs in the National League Central Division. Washington is 38-55, last in the NL East.
