Before becoming county executive, Farrow served in the Wisconsin Assembly, the state Senate, and as Senate assistant majority leader.

Prior to his career in politics, Farrow ran and managed small businesses in the home service industry, was an adjunct facilitator in experiential consulting and developed a marketing program in the home inspection training industry, according to the Waukesha County website.

Where to make donations

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to WisconsinEye Public Affairs Network, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, at wiseye.org/donate.

According to its website, the organization is the country’s first and only independent State Capitol broadcast organization, operating much like C-SPAN.

WisconsinEye’s goal is to remove partisanship news bias in reporting so that the news and event coverage comes directly from the policymakers.

Farrow is survived by his wife of nearly 40 years, Amy, whom he married Aug. 1, 1986. He leaves behind two adult sons and two grandchildren. Farrow had four brothers, including one fraternal twin.
