Updated Big Ten football 2026 team recruiting rankings (July 29)

Only days remain until the calendar turns to August. With that begins the four-week countdown until kickoff of the 2025 college football season.

The start of a new season brings hope for teams across the country. That hope can be of national title contention, a push for bowl eligibility, a return to a program’s previous standard, or anything in between. Wisconsin football, for example, enters the year looking to reestablish the consistency that defined the program’s success for much of 30 years.

The start of the 2025 campaign will also notably put the ongoing class of 2026 recruiting cycle on hold. Programs should have most of their classes finalized, with only a few high-profile prospects still uncommitted. The fall will then become more about player retention than acquisition. Wisconsin fans should know that firsthand, as Georgia reportedly works to flip one of its top commits in the class.

With August nearly here and the 2026 cycle close to complete, here is an updated snapshot of the Big Ten team rankings in the class.
