A trio of former Wisconsin Badgers women’s hockey players are 2026 PWHL Walter Cup champions.
The Montreal Victoire defeated the Ottawa Charge, 4-0, in game four to become the second-ever champions in Professional Women’s Hockey League history.
Remember, the Minnesota Frost won the first two titles in league history. Montreal took care of business against the Frost in the semi-finals en route to winning it all with three former Badgers on the roster.
Abby Roque, Dara Greig, and Ann-Renee Desbiens are now champions at the professional level.
Desbiens went 6-2-1 in goal during the 2026 playoffs with a 1.40 goals-allowed average and a .944% save percentage.
Roque appeared in nine playoff games, where she scored four goals and four assists. Fellow forward Grieg also appeared in nine playoff games, with her lone point being an assist.
In just a few short weeks, Caroline Harvey expects to hear her name called as the No. 1 pick in the 2026 PWHL draft.
Badgers fans also have former players to root for in the NHL playoffs as K’Andre Miller and Cole Caufield are facing off to determine which will advance to the Stanley Cup Finals.
