B’s Tap House is closing
B’s Tap House will close May 30 after serving brews for more than seven years in Wisconsin Rapids. Cori and Brandon Abbott opened B’s Tap House in February 2019 at 140 E. Grand Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids, then opened 2 Doors Down Brewing Co. two doors down from the tap house in December 2020.
On Jan. 30, 2026, B’s Tap House announced 2 Doors Down Brewing Co. would close effective Feb. 28. On Feb. 2, B’s Tap House shared that while the brewery would close, the tap house would remain open as the Abbotts looked for a new owner. B’s Tap House announced May 12 the Abbotts had not been successful in finding a new owner and would close May 30.
“We have been blessed by the support from our community over the last seven years and will cherish all the memories and friendships made,” the post said.

Gremler’s Bakery to open for 2026 season
Gremler’s Bakery will reopen at 9 a.m. June 3 at 1811 W. Grand Ave. in Wisconsin Rapids.
Owner Steven Gremler told a Daily Tribune reporter he and his wife, Aimeelou, were excited to open in June after being able to visit family in the Philippines.
When it reopens, Gremler’s will offer its breads, cookies, fruit pies, danishes, cinnamon rolls and coffee cakes, Gremler said. The bakery will also feature special breads on specific days like a cranberry walnut bread Thursdays and an onion rye bread on Fridays, he said. Scones, cupcakes and muffins will also be available, and the bakery will offer more Filipino flavors this season, Gremler said.
Gremler’s will also add “gluten-tolerated” treats, Gremler said. The bakery would not be able to offer completely gluten-free options because it doesn’t have a separate facility to properly make them, he said. The bakery would need at least a week notice for these specialty orders, he said.
Other orders can be placed by phone or in person at least three days in advance, Gremler said.
Gremler’s Bakery will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday. For more information, find Gremler’s Bakery on Facebook.
