GREEN BAY – One month after they initially intended to add him to their roster, the Green Bay Packers have signed tight end Luke Lachey.
The Packers attempted to claim Lachey on waivers May 12 after he was released by the Houston Texans, but he failed a physical. The failed physical only delayed his addition to the roster. A seventh-round draft pick by the Texans in 2025, Lachey is the son of veteran tackle Jim Lachey. He spent all of last season on the Texans’ practice squad.
The Packers released receiver Jakobis Keeney-James to make space on their roster for Lachey.
