Packers' Matthew Golden knows billiards? He shows skills at pro event

From the green turf to the green felt, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Matthew Golden flexed his muscles in a different discipline entirely when he made a guest appearance at the Oneida Casino Hotel in Ashwaubenon for a professional billiards competition over the weekend.

Golden paired with pro player Kristina Tkach and won an exhibition doubles match in 9-ball during the event, the Oneida WPA Women’s 8-ball World Championships, running July 22-26.

Tkach, 27, is from Russia and is one of the best billiards players in the world, reaching the No. 1 ranking at one point by the Women’s Professional Billiard Association. She’s currently ranked third.

Golden and Tkach faced off in the exhibition match with Sofia Mast and cue maker Joe Pechauer. Donning a Packers sweatshirt, the second-year receiver and Tkach rallied for the win, three games to one.

Chezka Centeno won the title over the weekend, beating Kelly Fisher in the final.
