The Milwaukee real estate market remains “very competitive” even in the slower winter months, according to national real estate brokerage Redfin.
Milwaukee homes sold for a median price of $230,000 and spent an average of 47 days on the market in December 2025, Redfin data found. The median price jumped 7% from December 2024.
Economists with real estate marketplace Zillow ranked the Milwaukee area one of the 10 hottest U.S. markets for 2026. Competition for homes is expected to remain strong this year.
Here’s a look at some of the oldest homes recently sold in Milwaukee, according to Milwaukee Metro Multiple Listing Service data:
130-year-old Tudor revival sells for $420,000
A Tudor revival home in Milwaukee’s Prospect Hill Historic District sold for $420,000 on Jan. 23.
The home, built in 1897, spans 2,800 square feet with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, according to the listing by Andrew Meurer with Milwaukee Executive Realty. It sits on a 0.12-acre lot on North Shepard Avenue.
According to the listing, the home was designed by prominent Milwaukee architect Alexander Eschweiler, perhaps best known for designing the Wisconsin Gas Building. It features an elevated porch, stained glass windows and four fireplaces.
Century-old Colonial sells for $359,000
A 1,660-square-foot Colonial home on North 77th Street sold for $359,000 on Jan. 20.
The three-bedroom, three-bathroom home was built in 1920, according to the listing by Connie Lindberg with Shorewest Realtors. It sits on a 0.17-acre lot.
The home features renovated bathrooms and an updated kitchen with granite countertops.
Merrill Park home sells for $312,000
A freshly remodeled and repainted Victorian home in Milwaukee’s Merrill Park neighborhood sold for $312,000 on Jan. 22.
The four-bedroom, four-bathroom home spans just under 2,500 square feet, according to the listing by Paress Huebner Rees with Keller Williams Realty. It was built in 1890 on a 0.12-acre lot on West Saint Paul Avenue.
The home features the original woodwork and pocket doors and an updated chef’s kitchen, velvet lounge and jetted bathtub. It also includes a third-floor recording studio, according to the listing.
