One person is dead and another injured after a driver was fatally shot, causing the vehicle to crash into multiple parked vehicles July 17, according to a Milwaukee Police Department news release.
The shooting occurred around 3:17 p.m. in the 4000 block of West Lancaster Avenue. Police said no one was in the parked vehicles.
The driver, a 48-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 44-year-old passenger was not struck by gunfire but was taken to a local hospital with nonfatal injuries sustained in the crash.
Police said the circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation, but investigators believe the incident stemmed from an argument.
