Midweek betting spread for Wisconsin football vs. Maryland Terrapins moves significantly

The Wisconsin Badgers begin their 2025 Big Ten schedule on Saturday afternoon with a home matchup against the Maryland Terrapins.

Wisconsin is 2-1 entering the contest after two opening triumphs over Group of Five competition and a decisive Week 3 loss at Alabama. Maryland, on the other hand, is 3-0 with wins over FAU, Northern Illinois and Towson. While none of those lower-level opponents measure up to the Badgers, the Terrapins’ stock is on the rise after the first three weeks.

Wisconsin still slots ahead of Maryland in most relevant rating metrics, including ESPN’s Football Power Index. It has the Badgers at No. 45 nationally and the Terrapins at No. 60, plus gives Wisconsin a 69.1% chance at securing a victory.

That rating discrepancy explains Wisconsin opening as more than a touchdown favorite when the odds were first released. Now, just a few days later, the line is moving even further toward the Badgers.
