Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center opens for summer June 7 through Aug. 16

MANITOWOC – The Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center opens Sunday, June 7, for the 2026 summer season, giving families in Manitowoc access to water slides, a lazy river, splash features and mini golf through mid-August.

The pool season runs through Aug. 17, with open swim scheduled June 7 through Aug. 16. Daily admission is $6.50, and groups of 25 or more pay $5.50 per person.

Open swim hours are noon to 6 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Fridays through Sundays. Hours may vary for holidays and special events, including reduced hours July 4.

Where is the Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center, and what features does it offer?

The aquatic center is at 940 N. 18th St. It features a heated pool, zero-depth entry, spray features, two water slides, a diving board, a lazy river, a sand play area and a splash pad.

The adjacent 18-hole mini golf course costs $6.50 for 18 holes or $9 for 36 holes. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Aug. 16, then daily through Sept. 7 and on weekends through Oct. 4. A Haunted Halloween event is planned for Oct. 31.

What special events and programs are planned at the Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center?

Special pool events include Family Pool Party on June 26, Special Needs Splash Time on June 27 and July 18, Adult Pool Party on Aug. 7 and Customer Appreciation Day on Aug. 15 with discounted admission.

The center also offers tot time, lap swim, lazy-river water fitness classes and other programs throughout the summer.

What pool rules should families know before visiting the Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center?

Alcohol, tobacco and vaping are not allowed in or around the aquatic center. Outside food is prohibited, except for water bottles.

Children who are not toilet trained must wear swim diapers. Swimmers 10 and younger must be supervised by someone 15 or older. Children 6 and younger are not allowed in the whirlpool, and children ages 7 to 11 must be accompanied there by an adult.

Toys and floaties are not allowed in the pool area.

What should visitors know about concessions at the Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center?

The concession stand sells hot dogs, pizza, ice cream treats, chips and drinks.

Credit and debit cards are accepted at concessions and admissions. A non-refundable 4% convenience fee applies, and tax is included in menu prices.

Outside food and drinks are not allowed, except for water in plastic containers and cakes for birthday parties.

What should visitors know about Manitowoc Family Aquatic Center passes, discounts and weather policies?

Season passes are available for the pool, mini golf or both. Military members receive $1 off daily admission with a valid ID.

Passes are available at the Manitowoc Senior Center/Rec Office, 3330 Custer St., from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. Call 920-686-3060.

The aquatic center may close when temperatures fall below 68 degrees, attendance is low or thunderstorms move in. After thunder or lightning, the pool will close for at least 30 minutes from the last sighting or sound. Management may close the pool for the rest of the session or day if severe weather continues. Swim lessons will move indoors to Citizen Park Rec Center, also known as Rollaire, when possible.

No rain checks or refunds will be issued for weather-related closures.
