Beer lovers won’t want to miss Malt City Brewfest from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Aug. 2 in downtown Manitowoc (720 Quay St.).

Featuring more than 30 craft breweries and more than 100 unique beers and ciders, this event offers unlimited sampling, live music by Suzie and The Detonators, and a variety of food trucks and vendors.

General admission begins at 2 p.m., but VIP ticket-holders can enjoy early access at 1 p.m. along with a VIP swag bag. Designated driver tickets are available and include complimentary beverages and a souvenir pint glass upon exit.

Proceeds support local causes like Pink Heals and the Lakeshore Humane Society.

Cruise the Manitowoc coast on the S.S. Badger Lake Michigan Carferry

Take in the beauty of Lake Michigan during the Badger Shoreline Cruise from 2 to 4 p.m. Aug. 2, departing from the Manitowoc dock (900 S. Lakeview Drive).

This two-hour cruise aboard the iconic S.S. Badger includes food, live entertainment and access to a cash bar, with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Onboard amenities include a gift shop, museum, bar, lounge and even a movie theater — making this a relaxing and fun outing for all ages.

Kids 4 and younger sail free, and cruises run rain or shine.

Support and savor at Smoke on the Water

Elevate your evening at Smoke on the Water, the Wisconsin Maritime Museum’s rooftop fundraiser, starting at 5 p.m. Aug. 6.

Held at Sub Pub on the Water on the rooftop of the museum (75 Maritime Drive), this event features tastings of craft beer, wine, bourbon and whiskey, as well as delicious food, cigars and a lively atmosphere.

Guests can also partake in silent and live auctions with exclusive items and experiences up for bid.

The rooftop views alone make it worth attending — but your ticket also supports the museum’s mission and programs.

Shop the Manitowoc Farmers’ Market in Washington Park

The Manitowoc Farmers’ Market will temporarily move to Washington Park from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. Aug. 2.

The market will still feature all your favorite local vendors, fresh produce, handmade goods and more — all in a charming, shaded park setting at 1115 Washington St.

From 9 to 10 a.m., the Manitowoc Marine Band will perform on the MetroStage.

There’s plenty of parking nearby, and the change in location is for one day only.
