It's strawberry season: Here's what to know about the Strawberry Festival in Cedarburg

It’s officially strawberry season, which means it’s time for thousands of people to flock to Cedarburg for the city’s annual celebration of strawberries in every form.

Whether you’re craving a simple, locally grown berry or a strawberry brat, the Strawberry Festival likely has it. The weekend-long festival draws more than 100,000 people each year.

Here’s everything to know before going to the festival, from where to find the zaniest dishes to parking options in the area.

When is the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival?

The Strawberry Festival will run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, June 28, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 29.

Where is the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival?

The festival will be held on Washington Avenue, extending between Bridge Road and Western Avenue. Washington Avenue will be closed to traffic during the festival.

You can also stop by Cedar Creek Park for additional activities, performances and food vendors as part of the festival’s “Party in the Park.”

If you need driving directions to the area, festival organizers recommend using the address for Cedarburg City Hall, at W63 N645 Washington Ave.

How much does it cost to get into the Strawberry Festival?

Admission is free for all.

You may have to pay between $10 and $20 for parking in nearby lots, though limited free street parking is also available. Find more information here about parking options and shuttle services.

Food and beverages – including plenty of strawberry-inspired specialties – will be served throughout the festival.

In between sampling strawberries, you can enjoy live music, shop for local goods and even compete in a rubber duck race.

Are pets allowed at the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival?

Pets are not allowed at the Strawberry Festival, except for trained service animals.

For any disappointed pet owners, the city will host its annual K9 Carnival on July 26, where dogs are welcome and celebrated.
