FOND DU LAC – Treasure hunts are abound in the Fond du Lac area.
The county includes several antique stores with a range of old finds, including furniture, decorations and historical memorabilia.
Additionally, there are three chances to catch a flea market in the area before the end of September.
Here’s where to find antique and vintage finds in the Fond du Lac area.
Fond du Lac Evening Lions fall flea market
Fond du Lac Evening Lions will host its next flea market Sept. 14 at the Fond du Lac County Fairgrounds, 520 Fond du Lac Ave., with vendors displaying their wares from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Admission is $1, and the Lions Club will also provide food service.
Brothers Antiques
Brothers Antiques, 861 Grove St., has several collections of antique furniture, decor, collectibles, toys, bottles, advertising signs and more.
Brothers Sam and Owen Stoppleworth look for a variety of both antique and vintage items to appeal to a wide customer base, so customers can expect to find a range of goods, including 19th-century lamps, pre-Prohibition beer bottles, World War II paraphernalia and holiday-specific decor.
The store is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekends, and posts its “fresh finds of the week” on its Facebook page.
Settlement Antiques
Settlement Antiques, N5543 County Road D, is two levels of antique displays, specializing in furniture and paintings.
Settlement’s summer hours are 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and the store is closed Thursdays.
Blue Heron Antiques
Blue Heron Antiques, 309 E. Main St. in Waupun, honors both the past and present, combining its curated antiques with a selection of modern home items.
Recently featured items from the store’s Facebook page include vintage board games, jewelry, and kitchen and bathroom decor.
The store is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.
Roadside Relics
Roadside Relics, 10 Jackson St. in Waupun, has spent this spring and summer hosting flea markets, barn sales and even livestreamed online sales in addition to its regular store.
Upcoming flea market dates are Aug. 9 and Sept. 6, featuring up to 43 vendors.
On July 9, the store announced this will be the last year for flea markets.
Roadside Relics is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
Back Porch Gatherings
Back Porch Gatherings, 217 Watson St. in Ripon, puts a little bit more history in historical downtown Ripon, with a focus on trending decor.
Vintage and antique finds include wall and tabletop decor, glassware, furniture, rugs and more. The store also partners with local artisans for modern handmade products.
Back Porch Gatherings is open 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, then 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays.
