Have questions about Appleton-area schools? We'll help find answers

School’s out for the summer, but learning never ends.

These last days of school are especially meaningful for me, as they mark the end of my first complete school year as an education reporter. In 2025-26, I visited the first day of class in a brand-new building, tracked AI use in local classrooms, followed two referendums and three school board elections, and talked with dozens of education professionals as part of the Hallway Voices column. And that’s only scratching the surface.

While I’ve learned a lot about our Fox Cities school districts over the past school year, I’m always looking for more. That’s where I could use your help.

Regular Post-Crescent readers are probably familiar with my colleague Duke Behnke’s 16-year-long column in which he answers questions about local government, big or small. I’d like to help readers find answers to their questions about local schools. Whether you’re wondering about a new paint job, a rule change or anything else, let me know about what interests you as a reader.
