BASEBALL

Bay Port 3, Pulaski 0

PULASKI – Parker Lawson pitched a one-hitter to lead the Pirates to the win over the Red Raiders.

Lawson walked one and struck out 14 for Bay Port.

Cayden Heier had two hits for the Pirates.

Brock Wiedeman started and took the loss for Pulaski. He allowed two runs on five hits and one walk over five innings.

Green Bay Preble 5-5, Ashwaubenon 4-4

ASHWAUBENON – The Hornets snapped a 4-4 tie with a run in the sixth inning to defeat the Jaguars in the first game of the doubleheader sweep.

David Petasek had a triple and a home run, scored two runs and drove in two for Preble. Will VanBoxtel also had two hits.

Trent DeMeuse started for Preble and allowed four runs over 2⅓ innings. Dallas Rady relieved and pitched the final 4⅔ innings, blanking Ashwaubenon on two hits and five walks while striking out nine to get the win.

Nolan Vertz had a pair of doubles for Ashwaubenon.

Nick Smith took the loss for the Jaguars.

In the second game, Green Bay Preble scored a run in the ninth inning to complete the doubleheader sweep.

Marco Aregoni led Preble in the second game with three hits, including a double.

David Petasek, Harrison Selk and Trent DeMeuse both had two hits, while Will VanBoxtel drove in two runs.

Landon Micolichek pitched three innings of relief, allowing one hit while striking out five to get the win.

Notre Dame 5, New London 2

NEW LONDON – Drew Magnuson pitched six innings to get the victory for the Tritons in the nonconference matchup.

Magnuson allowed three hits and struck out six. Brennen Frelich got the save.

Ty Bumgardner had two hits and drove in two runs for Notre Dame.

Fox Valley Lutheran 8, Wrightstown 3

APPLETON – Spencer Bromm was 2-for-4 with a triple and two RBIs, while Mason Stark and Jack Schlueter added two hits apiece as the Foxes downed the Tigers in Bay Conference action.

FVL scored two runs in each of the first, second, fifth and sixth innings to take charge.

Ryan Leahy had the hot bat for Wrightstown, going 3-for-3 with a walk.

The Tigers scored twice in the first and once in the third, but couldn’t generate any more runs after that.

Bromm picked up the win, pitching four innings and allowing seven hits and three earned runs with two walks and one strikeout.

Marinette 14, Freedom 10

MARINETTE – The Marines took a 12-2 lead after two innings and then held off the Irish, who scored eight runs in the fourth and fifth innings.

Levi Hanson had three hits, four RBIs and scored two runs to lead Marinette. Chase MacGregor had two hits, including a triple, and scored three runs. Wyatt Stauss had two hits, including a double, scored twice and drove in three runs.

Eli Shepard had two hits and drove in six runs from Freedom.

Nik Williams pitched 3⅔ innings, allowing a hit and three walks and five unearned runs and was credited with the victory.

Chase Calmes took the loss for Freedom.

Shawano 7, Sturgeon Bay 4

SHAWANO – Trailing 2-1 after four innings, the Hawks scored four runs in the fifth inning to surge past the Clippers for the win.

Both teams finished with 10 hits.

Steven Prescott and Jack Higginbotham both had two hits for Sturgeon Bay. Prescott, Dominic Blish and Ethan Kratcha each had doubles.

Siggy Hansen allowed four runs in one inning of relief and took the loss for Sturgeon Bay.

Denmark 4, Cameron 1

FRIENDSHIP – The Vikings scored three runs in the third inning and went on to defeat the Comets.

Ozzie Enz pitched a complete game for Denmark, allowing one run on four hits and a walk while striking out six.

Niagara 13, Gillett 0

GILLETT – The Badgers scored their runs by pooling together nine walks, nine errors and six hits in the win over the Tigers.

Abain Patterson had two hits for Niagara, while Landon Sweig had a double and Remington Buchanan had a double and two RBIs.

Dwight Hedmark pitched a five-inning complete game, allowing one hit and striking out eight.

SOFTBALL

De Pere 15, Green Bay Southwest 1

GREEN BAY – The Redbirds blew open a tight game with six runs in the fifth and seven in the sixth.

Julia Renier led De Pere, going 4-for-4 with four RBIs and three runs scored, while Jaelyn Craig was 3-for-5 with a double, three runs scored and two RBIs. Payton Spaeth added two hits and two RBIs, and Allie Frederiksen had two RBIs for the Redbirds.

Grace Hudson earned the win, pitching five innings, allowing three hits, one unearned run and one walk with 10 strikeouts.

Lena Engebretson drove in Southwest’s lone run.

Ashwaubenon 12, Notre Dame 10

GREEN BAY – The Jaguars outlasted the Tritons in a Fox River Classic Conference slugfest.

Ashwaubenon scored five times in the first and stayed ahead of Notre Dame the rest of the way. The Jaguars led 5-2 after one, 7-4 after two, 9-6 after four, 10-7 after five, 12-7 after six before holding on in the seventh.

Olivia Waldrop had the hot bat for Notre Dame, going 5-for-5 with four runs scored and one RBI. Emma Clak added three hits and three RBIs, while Jaedyn Mueller and Brynn Broekman added two hits each for the Tritons.

Southern Door 3, Seymour 2

BRUSSELS – The Eagles rallied from a 2-0 deficit, scoring twice in the sixth and one in the seventh to earn the nonconference win.

Alanah Kaye led Southern Door, going 3-for-3 with a double and one run scored, while Harper Kramer was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.

The Thunder was led by Kendra Rettler, who was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Monique Martinez doubled and drove in a run, and Kaylee Rettler also doubled.

Kendra Rettler struck out 11 in the circle but took the loss.

West De Pere 14, Appleton West 1

APPLETON – The Phantoms struck for eight runs in the second and six in the fourth to cruise to the nonconference win.

The Terrors scored their lone run in the fourth.

Kaydence Gilbert doubled, while Ali Raddatz homered to lead the Terrors.

Two Rivers 4, Shawano 3

TWO RIVERS – The Purple Raiders rallied from an early 3-1 deficit to earn the nonconference win.

Two Rivers scored the winning run in the bottom of the seventh.

Paige Barbarossa had two hits to lead the Purple Raiders.

Kadence Meyers drove in a pair of runs to lead the Hawks.

Tigerton 10, Green Bay NEW Lutheran 7

TIGERTON – The Tigers erased an early 3-0 deficit to earn the nonconference win.

The Blazers later fell behind 10-4, before closing the game with three runs in the seventh.

Jaelyn Brady led Tigerton, going 4-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs.

Niagara 15, Gillett 3

GILLETT – An 11-run third inning proved to be the difference as the Badgers cruised past the Tigers in Marinette & Oconto Conference action.

Gillett led 3-2 after one before Niagara took charge.

Elesia Sweig, Zowie Loukus and Shelby Zittlow had three hits each for the Badgers. Zittlow also tripled and drove in three runs.

Sweig also earned the win in the circle, pitching five innings, allowing three hits, three unearned runs and five walks while striking out eight.

Bonduel 10, Norway (MI) 0

BONDUEL – The Bears made short work of the Knights, scoring six runs in the first, three in the second and one in the third.

Emery Thompson pitched the five-inning no-hitter, striking out 12 batters.

Maddie Hert was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs, while Juliana Jacobs was 2-for-3 with a homer and two RBIs.

GIRLS SOCCER

Kimberly 5, Green Bay Preble 0

GREEN BAY – Leading 1-0 at halftime, the Papermakers found the back of the net four times in the second half in the win over the Hornets.

Kimberly got two goals from Ashlyn Krueger and one each from Katie Owens, Lauren Warner and Cora Phillip.

Krueger, Ali Vander Wielen, Katie Owens, Lindsey Owens and Sadie Strong each had an assist.

Kimberly is now 2-0. Green Bay Preble is 2-2.

Luxemburg-Casco 1, Seymour 0

SEYMOUR – Emi Kuhn scored in the 78th minute to help lead the Spartans past the Thunder in nonconference play.

Teagan Gunderson made four saves in net for Luxemburg-Casco, while Seymour’s Morrigan Allen made three saves.

Sheboygan South 2, Green Bay Southwest 1

SHEBOYGAN – Emma Daharsh scored both goals to lead the Redwings to the win over the Trojans.
