As far as celebrity sightings go, Wisconsin’s own Giannis Antetokounmpo is pretty hard to beat.
He made a trip up from Milwaukee to visit Appleton, and made a stop for some ice cream during the trip.
The hero of the 2021 NBA Championship and two-time NBA MVP was spotted at Tom’s Drive In getting a soft serve.
Tom’s Drive In shared his visit in a May 6 Facebook post, capturing him with his soft serve ice cream cone in the drive thru.
“A guy that gets what it means to be family first!” Tom’s Drive In wrote.
Replying to someone’s comment, Tom’s Drive In said Antetokounmpo made the special visit May 3 to Tom’s at 3950 N. Richmond St. Tom’s Drive In is known for its classic burgers, fries, and soft serve ice cream. Someone commented that Tom’s soft serve was the perfect choice while in Appleton.
It’s a “champion’s mentality,” Tom’s replied.
