Fire at Green Bay duplex injures three residents, three firefighters

Three firefighters and three residents were treated for fire and smoke injuries after a fire at a duplex in Green Bay on May 24.

Two of the residents were in serious condition at a local hospital, according to a release from Green Bay Metro Fire Department.

Fire officials were not available on May 25 to provide an update on the condition of the residents and firefighters.

The fire broke out about 2:15 p.m. May 24 at a duplex in the 2600 block of Finger Road, according to a news release.

Crews rescued three victims from a second-floor window. Two victims were taken to a hospital by ambulance, while a third was driven to the hospital by family.

Three firefighters were treated for heat injury and smoke inhalation, and one of them was taken to a hospital for further treatment, the release stated.

Nine residents were displaced as a result of the fire. The cause remains under investigation by the Green Bay Fire Marshal’s Office.
