Playing well against teams above ,500 has helped the Milwaukee Brewers move into the top spot in the National League Central Division. Despite losing two of three games to the Los Angles Dodgers over the weekend, the Brewers are 18-8 against opponents with winning records.
It’s something they have in common with the St. Louis Cardinals, one of the biggest surprises over the first two months in the National League. The Cardinals are 17-10 against foes over .500 and have moved into second place in the NL Central. They visit American Family Field May 25-27.
Jordan Walker is enjoying a breakout season for the Cardinals. The slugging outfielder is hitting .302 with 15 home runs, 11 doubles and seven steals. The Cardinals have 60 home runs as a team, 26 more than the Brewers who didn’t score after the second inning in any of the games against the Dodgers.

However, Jacob Misiorowski and Kyle Harrison are both pitching in the series against the Cardinals. The Brewers are 13-6 this season in games started by those two pitchers.
Prior to the Dodgers series, the only team that did not lose a series to the Brewers over the last month was the Cardinals as the two teams split a pair of games in St. Louis May 4 and May 6.
