MADISON – One of the state’s top high school football prospects in the 2027 class announced an offer from Wisconsin on June 17.
He comes with an impressive bloodline.
Ethan McIntosh, a 6-foot-7, 240-pound offensive lineman from Verona High School, announced his Badgers offer on X and Instagram.
McIntosh’s father is Wisconsin director of athletics Chris McIntosh, who, as Badgers fans know, was an All-American left tackle for UW during his playing days.
Ethan McIntosh announced the offer after participating in camp at UW.
He wrote on X:
“After a great camp and talk with (UW coach Luke Fickell) and (offensive line coach AJ Blazek) I’m extremely blessed to announce that I have received an offer from the University of Wisconsin!”
McIntosh, a left tackle who helped Verona finish 10-1 last season, is considered a three-star prospect by 247sports. He has yet to receive a rating from On3, Rivals or ESPN.
A handful of college programs, however, have seen enough of McIntosh to offer him a scholarship. In addition to UW, he announced offers from Northwestern, Kansas, Iowa State, Washington State, North Dakota and Iowa.
Chris McIntosh came to UW from Pewaukee High School. He was a captain of UW’s Big Ten and Rose Bowl championship teams in 1998 and ’99 and a first-round draft choice of Seattle in 2000.
