A police investigation revealed that a road rage incident originated in the area of County Line Road and Bancroft Drive, according to a June 15 news release from the Menomonee Falls Police Department.

The involved vehicles eventually traveled south on Maple Road where gunshots were fired from the pursued vehicle that struck the victim’s vehicle and a nearby residence, according to the release.

The operator of the pursuing vehicle sustained a significant, non-life-threatening eye injury from the gunfire debris and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

The investigation, which is ongoing, suggests the suspect and the victim did not know each, police said.
