De Pere High School students will have a surprise school day this Friday, April 24, after last week’s floodwaters prompted the district to cancel classes April 14.
High schoolers will be the only students in school, as they follow a slightly different schedule than lower grades. April 24 was originally set as a professional development day; elementary, intermediate and middle school teachers will still take that day off.
Buses will run on Friday for high school students.
De Pere canceled school April 14 because of busing concerns related to the flooding, according to a district Facebook post.
