A new Mediterranean restaurant is coming to Bellevue.
Zena, 2234 Monroe Road, Suite 100, is expected to open this summer. Jay Wallerius, co-owner of the restaurant with the chef, Hidayet Karacoroglu, and business partners Mark and Jess Miller, said it will offer Mediterranean food in a fast-casual setting.
Wallerius said the Bellevue area has many restaurants, mostly fast-food outlets, but none offering the flavors they will serve.
“It will be something fresh, healthy, something that we think the area needs,” Wallerius said.
He said Karacoroglu, who has a Turkish background, will also serve as the restaurant’s general manager and is preparing the menu. The website will be updated afterward.
Wallerius said construction is already underway and they are aiming for a mid-to-late June opening.
