Helayna Krueger, Xavier girls soccer
Krueger scored three goals in the Hawks’ 4-0 victory over Ozaukee/Random Lake in a WIAA Division 4 state semifinal match at Uihlein Soccer Park.
Brayden Jenkins, Kaukauna baseball
The junior shortstop was 4-for-8 in the state tournament with two runs scored and five RBIs in three games to help the Ghosts win the WIAA Division 1 state title, the first championship for the program since 1953.
Bron Schaefer, Kaukauna baseball
The senior was 6-for-8 with four runs scored and four RBIs in three state tournament games to lead the Ghosts to the WIAA Division 1 state title, the first for the program since 1953. He also pitched a complete game against Nicolet in the semifinals, allowing two hits, one run, walking one and striking out eight in 97 pitches.
