TWO RIVERS – This year’s Heart-A-Rama theme sticks close to home.
“On Wisconsin!” will feature comedy skits and musical numbers about what makes our cheese-loving, beer-drinking state so awesome.

The event is held six nights — April 23-25 and April 30-May 2 — at the Two Rivers Community House, 1710 W. Park St., Two Rivers. Doors open at 6 p.m. each night. “The Best Seat in the House” auction starts at 6:40 p.m. and the show kicks off at 7 p.m.
This ode to the Badger State will include Wisconsin-style music, Al Capone and the ice cream sundae. Racing sausages, cheese curds and a Tavern League takeover are also part of the action.
Heart-A-Rama has raised more than $3 million
Heart-A-Rama is a nonprofit comedy/variety show, now in its 54th year, that raises funds for the American Heart Association, along with donations of automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to schools, nonprofit organizations and other public gathering places throughout Manitowoc County.
Producer, director and actor Jim Pautz said the group raises about $100,000 annually. Heart-A-Rama has raised well more than $3 million over the decades, and has given away hundreds of AEDs.
“The Best Seat in the House” auctions a new, painted toilet seat signed by the cast and crew. Pautz said the auction has become a friendly competition among business owners and other community members, with seats selling from $1,000 to $5,000 each night.
“It’s a good time for a good cause,” Pautz said. “We are looking forward to a good show. If you’ve never been to a show, you’ll love it. And if you have been to a show, we’d love to see you come back.”
Special guests include comedian Charlie Berens
The event will again feature plenty of celebrity guests, including:
“It’s just silly, Saturday Night Live-type humor,” Pautz said. “We also have Heart-A-Rama News, sharing goofy news stories from around the area or state. We want everyone to walk out with a big smile on their face.”
