FOND DU LAC – The city has lost one of its coffee chain locations.
Caribou Coffee, 444 W. Johnson St., closed Feb. 11. Customers with the app received an “It’s not goodbye, it’s see you later” message and were invited to continue visiting the other location at 929 S. Main St.
The location was the first to open in Fond du Lac, moving into half of the former Tucker’s Hamburgers restaurant in June 2023. The current Main Street location followed a month later.
The other half of the Johnson Street building is still listed for sale or lease, as of Feb. 19.
Minnesota-based Caribou Coffee is known for coffee and other drinks, as well as an all-day breakfast menu. The coffee “cabin” on Main Street is drive-thru and walk-up only.
