MADISON – The Wisconsin football staff’s power of persuasion will be put to the test again this weekend.
A week ago, the Badgers hosted four-star defensive back Mekhi Williams and convinced him to change his commitment from Florida State to UW.
This week, Wisconsin hosts two more committed prospects it wouldn’t mind adding to its 2027 recruiting class: Chuck Alexander, a receiver from Cincinnati who is committed to Louisville, and Brody Pfannenstiel, an edge rusher from Hoisington, Kansas, who is committed to Texas Tech.
They will be part of a much smaller group that is expected to be on campus for the Badgers’ second round of official visits. Six players are expected to be on campus compared to the 19 that were on hand last week.
Here is a look at who is expected to be in attendance.
Receiver Chuck Alexander
Alexander committed to Louisville in December, but that hasn’t stopped other programs from recruiting him. Since his commitment, he posted seven Division I offers, including Power Four tenders from Virginia Tech, South Carolina, Iowa State, Wake Forest and Michigan. Wisconsin has had an offer on the table since May 2025.
Receiver Steele Harris
Wisconsin has only one receiver committed so far. Could Harris make it two? The 6-foot-3, 205-pound standout from Great Falls High School in Montana is a consensus three-star prospect who generated 1,423 all-purpose yards last season. He received an offer from Wisconsin in early December and has announced offers from three other Big Ten rivals: Illinois, Michigan State and Northwestern.
Edge Brody Pfannenstiel
The 6-3, 225-pound player from Hoisington High School in Kansas committed to Texas Tech on March 13. He announced 15 offers on X, though none since he committed to the Red Raiders. Wisconsin offered Jan. 20. He is scheduled to take an official visit to Texas Tech next week.
Safety James ‘Trey’ Roberson
The 6-0, 175-pounder is a consensus three-star prospect who is ranked seventh at his position in Texas by Rivals and eighth by 247sports. Wisconsin offered a scholarship Jan. 25, one of 11 Power Four offers he has received since the end of his junior season, when he was an all-district selection.
Tackle Alijah Shaw
An imposing figure, Shaw (6-9, 296) comes from a family of standout athletes. His brother, Aidan, was a senior basketball player at Boston College last season, while his sister, Aubrey, was a freshman on the Harvard women’s basketball team. Shaw, from Overland Park, Kansas, is also a basketball standout for his high school, Blue Valley North. He announced an offer from Wisconsin on Jan. 26. It is one of six Power Four offers he announced since the end of the high school football season. He recently made an official visit to Oklahoma State.
Defensive lineman Yahzeen Zion
The Badgers have had luck with players from Desert Edge High School in Goodyear, Arizona. Linebacker Nathan Jones, Zion’s teammate, committed to UW last week. Redshirt linebacker Jon Jon Kamara is also an alum of the school. Zion, who is 6-4 and 265 pounds, has official visits scheduled with four of his final five schools. He was at Florida last week and is scheduled to visit Oklahoma and LSU after his trip to Madison. Miami is also in the mix. Rivals and ESPN consider him a four-star prospect. 247sports gave him three stars.
