Bank First ranked among top US community banks

MANITOWOC – Manitowoc-based Bank First was ranked as the fourth top-performing community bank in the country for the 2025 Raymond James Community Bankers Cup and was the highest-ranked bank based in Wisconsin.

According to a news release from Bank First, the recognition places the bank among the top 10% of community banks in the United States based on financial performance, efficiency and balance sheet strength.

“We are honored to be recognized by Raymond James as one of the top community banks in the country,” said Bank First CEO Mike Molepske. “Earning a top-five national ranking and being the highest-ranked bank in Wisconsin reflects the strength of our team and our commitment to relationship-based banking. … This recognition reflects the strength of our team, our long-term focus and the relationships we’ve built in the communities we serve.”

The annual Community Bankers Cup evaluates 191 publicly traded community banks with assets between $500 million and $10 billion, using metrics such as return on assets, core deposit growth, efficiency ratio and asset quality.

“Top-performing banks in the report demonstrated strong results across multiple financial measures, reinforcing long-term stability and consistent performance relative to peers,” the news release said.
