KAUKAUNA – The Cardinals ended Kaukauna’s 86-game Fox Valley Association winning streak with the victory over the Ghosts.
The Ghosts’ last FVA loss was against Neenah on May 18, 2021. Kaukauna also had its 109-game regular-season winning streak snapped.
Fond du Lac led 5-3 through four innings then added two runs in the fifth inning and two in the sixth.
Seymour 4, Menasha 0
MENASHA – The Thunder scored once in the first, once in the third and twice in the seventh to earn the Bay Conference win.
Adde Smith led the Seymour attack with three hits, while Kendra Rettler doubled and homered.
Rettler earned the win in the circle, pitching 6⅔ innings while allowing five hits, one walk and striking out 10.
Fox Valley Lutheran 16, New London 0
NEW LONDON – The Foxes scored six runs in the first inning and eight in the third inning of the win over the Bulldogs.
Claire Pfrang, Brianna Dahlke, Natalie Bromm and Tenley Wolfrath each had two hits for Fox Valley Lutheran. Kinley Peterson, Madison Babcock and Bromm each drove in three runs.
Bromm, Dahlke, Babcock and Peterson hit home runs for FVL.
Babcock pitched the first two innings and got the win. She struck out six and walked one.
Ellie Winkelman took the loss for New London.
Wrightstown 10, Clintonville 9
CLINTONVILLE – Charlie Bowker was 3-for-5, while Layla Beyer was 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI as the Tigers held off the Truckers in North Eastern Conference action.
Molly Ruebl was 2-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs, and Madelyn DeCleene had two RBIs.
Claire Papendorf powered Clintonville with three hits, including a double, while Marley Tauferner was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.
Wrightstown scored once in the first, three in the third, two in the fourth, one in the fifth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh.
Clintonville scored four times in the second, two in the third and three in the seventh.
Freedom 12, Oconto Falls 2
FREEDOM – The Irish scored once in the first, seven times in the second, one in the third and three in the fifth en route to the North Eastern Conference victory.
Oconto Falls scored its two runs in the fifth.
Amelia Danielczak tripled in two runs to lead the Panthers.
Shawano 6, Winneconne 5
SHAWANO – Jacey Cowden was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs as the Hawks scored the winning run in the seventh to earn the Bay Conference win.
Kadence Meyers and Addison Gusick had two hits each for Shawano.
Neela Gardner and Aubrey Mitchell led Winneconne with two hits each.
Winneconne scored single runs in the first and second and three in the third.
Shawano scored once in the first and four in the second before winning the game late.
St. Mary Catholic 11, Shiocton 1
FOX CROSSING – The Zephyrs scored four runs in the first inning, two in the second and five in the fifth in the win over Shiocton.
Emmie Weiss had a double with two RBIs and two runs scored for St. Mary Catholic. Sammi Weiss had two hits and scored twice. Paxtyn Trinkner had a double and four RBIs for the Zephyrs, while Illa Moder and Breanna Neubert both had doubles.
Trinkner allowed one run over five innings, allowing five hits and two walks to get the win.
Brenna Beilfuss took the loss for Shiocton.
Bonduel 18, Weyauwega-Fremont 0
WEYAUWEGA – The Bears scored 15 runs in the first inning and three in the second en route to the Central Wisconsin Conference victory.
Mary Margelofsky was 2-for-2 with a double and three RBIs, while Marlie Hartmann and Juliana Jacobs were 2-for-2 with two RBIs.
Jayla Reinke drove in a pair of runs.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 8, Manawa 2
WITTENBERG – Jayda Moenke was 2-for-4 with a double and four RBIs as the Chargers downed the Wolves in Central Wisconsin Conference action.
Also pacing the Wittenberg-Birnamwood offense were Kennedy Benbo and Brieleigh Ladika with two hits each.
Callie Pethke doubled and drove in two runs to power the Wolves.
Kendell Lex picked up the win, pitching six innings while allowing five hits and two earned runs, while striking out eight.
Fox Valley Lutheran 26, Green Bay West 1 (Tuesday)
GREEN BAY – Claire Pfrang, Olivia Fischer and Ava Martin each had three hits for the Foxes in the victory over the Wildcats.
Paige Leavitt and Fischer each drove in four runs.
FVL, which finished with 21 hits, scored 12 runs on eight hits in the top of the second inning and had nine runs on eight hits in the third inning.
Leavitt was the winning pitcher. She allowed one hit and one run in three innings, striking out seven and walking two.
BASEBALL
Appleton North 14, Oshkosh West 4
OSHKOSH – The Lightning broke open the game with eight runs in the second inning in the victory over the Wildcats.
Aedan Waterstreet had two hits, including a home run, and drove in four runs for North. Owen Reuland also hit a home run and drove in three runs.
Jackson Skorr had three hits for North. Brennan Otto and Colin Reddy both added two hits for North, and Reddy drove in three runs.
Reuland pitched two innings to get the win. He allowed one hit, no runs and struck out four.
Hortonville 6, Oshkosh North 5
HORTONVILLE – The Polar Bears scored two runs in the last half of the seventh inning to rally for the walk-off win over the Spartans.
Connor Christensen drove in the winning runs with a two-run double.
Isaac Behnke also drove in two runs for Hortonville. Elijah Yeager scored two runs and Brock Wolter had two hits for Hortonville.
Mason Burrichter pitched five innings, allowed one hit and one run while striking out three for Hortonville. Tristan Berrens pitched the final 1⅓ innings to get the win.
Kimberly 11, Appleton East 0
KIMBERLY – The Papermakers led 5-0 through three innings and then scored six runs in the fifth inning in the five-inning victory over the Patriots.
Bryce Mischler pitched four innings to get the win. He allowed two hits and struck out nine.
Lex Knaebe had three hits, including a home run, and drove in two runs for Kimberly. Beckett Hermus had two hits, including a home run, and drove in three runs. Drew Furman added two hits for the Papermakers.
Neenah 17, Appleton West 5
APPLETON – The Rockets scored seven runs in the first two innings and led 7-4 after four innings, then added six runs in the fifth and four runs in the sixth in the win over the Terrors.
Neenah finished with 15 hits.
Charlie Blevins and Zackary Madson both had two hits for Appleton West. Blevins and Kelin Gilbert both hit home runs.
Kaukauna 11, Fond du Lac 2
KAUKAUNA – The Ghosts, who led 4-0 after two innings, broke open the game with five runs in the third inning in the win over the Cardinals.
Kaukauna finished with 14 hits.
Wrightstown 7, Waupaca 1
WAUPACA – Bennett Stengel was 3-for-4, while Michael Besel was 2-for-4 with two RBIs to lead the Tigers past the Comets.
Wrightstown scored one run in the first, two in the third, three in the fifth and one in the sixth to earn the win.
Jacob Miller pitched seven innings for the Tigers, allowing five hits, one earned run and three walks with five strikeouts.
Reed Rogers drove in one run to lead Waupaca.
Marinette 8, Freedom 1
FREEDOM – The Marines scored four runs in the first inning on the way to their win over the Irish.
Cooper Smith pitched a complete game, one-hitter for Marinette. He walked three and struck out seven.
Smith and Hunter Goldsmith both had two hits for Marinette. Chase MacGregor scored two runs and drove in two runs with a two-run home run to left field in the sixth inning. Wyatt Stauss also scored a pair of runs.
Gavin Brennenstuhl had Freedom’s only hit.
Luxemburg-Casco 8, St. Mary Catholic 1
FOX CROSSING – The Spartans jumped on the Zephyrs for six runs in the first inning and went on to defeat St. Mary Catholic.
Tatum Klaubauf and Myles Jandrin both drove in two runs for Luxemburg-Casco. Jandrin and Ethan Werner both had two hits.
Ethan Engum pitched three scoreless innings for Luxemburg-Casco, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out five. Noah Chervenka followed up with four innings of one-hit ball. He allowed a run, walked three and struck out five.
Menasha 10, Winneconne 6
WINNECONNE – The Wolves took a 6-0 lead through four innings before the Bluejays rallied for nine runs in the sixth inning and one in the seventh for the victory.
Lucky Pahl had two hits and drove in three runs for Winneconne.
Broderick Stille pitched two-thirds of an inning, allowing five runs, and took the loss.
Seymour 6, New London 2
NEW LONDON – The Thunder pounded out 10 hits in the win over the Bulldogs.
Carson Staffeldt, Cayden Staffeldt, Micah Byers, Gerome Oskey and Caden Steffens each had two hits for Seymour. Byers drove in two runs and Steffens had a triple.
Kobe Barth pitched 3⅔ innings, allowing one hit and five walks while giving up two runs. Oskey pitched the final 3⅓ innings, allowing three hits and no runs.
Brillion 17-7, Valders 2-4
BRILLION – The Lions swept the doubleheader over the Vikings, winning 17-2 in the first game and 7-4 in the nightcap.
Joe Shimek and Weston Schmidt both scored three runs for Brillion, while Landon Mathes and Aiden Reinke both drove in three runs in the first game.
Chase Braun had three hits, while Hayden Cousin, Heath Cousin, Mathes and Reinke each had two hits. Kevin Gilbertson had the only extra-base hit for Brillion with a double.
Mathes got the win for Brillion.
In the second game, Brillion overcame a 3-2 deficit with a three-run fourth inning.
Shimek and Braun both had two hits and a double for Brillion. Hayden Cousin drove in two runs.
Shimek pitched the first 4⅔ innings for Brillion to get the win.
New Holstein 3, Chilton 1
NEW HOLSTEIN – The Huskies scored single runs in the second, third and fifth innings to defeat the Tigers.
Easton Wagner, Lucas Groeschel and Ethan Schneider each had a hit for Chilton.
Nathan Mueller pitched a complete game for Chilton and took the loss. He allowed three runs on six hits and two walks while striking out two.
Wittenberg-Birnamwood 22, Manawa 1
WITTENBERG – The Chargers scored nine runs in the second inning and six in the fourth in their win over the Wolves.
Milo Salvesen had two hits and four RBIs for Wittenberg-Birnamwood. Braxton Olson had three hits, three runs scored and two RBIs. Zandyr Barke added two hits and four RBIs, while Eddie Nowinsky had two hits, scored three runs and drove in three runs.
GIRLS SOCCER
Menasha 1, Fox Valley Lutheran 0
APPLETON – Sophia Sierra scored in the 66th minute off a free kick to power the Bluejays past the Foxes.
Kiel 7, Wrightstown 0
KIEL – Deanna Schwaller scored four goals for the Raiders in the nonconference win over the Tigers.
Taavi Saeger added two goals for Kiel, while Harper Walsdorf had the other goal.

West De Pere Quad
BOYS
DE PERE 129, WEST DE PERE 86, WRIGHTSTOWN 42, ST. IGNATIUS CATHOLIC 1
De Pere’s Tyler Hancock won both hurdles events, taking the 110-meter hurdles with a time of :14.56 and the 300 hurdles with a time of :40.68. Hancock also won the long jump with a jump of 21-4.
GIRLS
DE PERE 113, WEST DE PERE 108, WRIGHTSTOWN 35, ST. IGNATIUS CATHOLIC 11
De Pere’s Hailey Gerlikowski won the discus with a throw of 99-0 and the shot put with a toss of 32-8.75. Teammate Isabella Heideman swept the 1,600- and 3,200-meter runs with winning times of 5:21.08 and 11:29.56, respectively.
West De Pere’s Johannah Rezash won the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :13.26 and :27.25, respectively.
Wrightstown’s Katerina Hruska won the high jump at a height of 4-8 and the triple jump with a jump of 30-8.
Algoma Triangular
BOYS
ALGOMA 84.5, SHIOCTON 81.5, GIBRALTAR 43, SEVASTOPOL 42
Shiocton’s Wyatt Hess swept the hurdles events, winning the 110-meter hurdles with a time of :15.37 and the 300-meter hurdles with a time of :41.83. Hess also won the long jump with a jump of 20-3.

SHIOCTON 103, GIBRALTAR 54, ALGOMA 41, SEVASTOPOL 39
Shiocton’s Monica Young was a double winner in the sprints, winning the 100- and 200-meter dashes with times of :13.28 and :27.24.
Mishicot BE 5 Team
BOYS
MANITOWOC LUTHERAN 211, MISHICOT 120, HILBERT 71, REEDSVILLE 62, ST. MARY CATHOLIC 52
Mishicot won nine individual events and swept the relays to take the boys title.
GIRLS
MISHICOT 182, ST. MARY CATHOLIC 102, MANITOWOC LUTHERAN 92, REEDSVILLE 83, HILBERT 55
Marissa Hahn was a double winner for St. Mary Catholic. She won the shot put with a put of 31-6.5 and the discus with a throw of 104-4.
SMC’s Claire Higgins took first in the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.60, while teammate Ellie Davel won the 100 hurdles with a time of :15.40.
