BASEBALL

Kimberly 15, Oshkosh West 5

KIMBERLY – The Papermakers scored six runs in the second inning and five in the fourth in their win over the Wildcats.

Kimberly, which had 15 hits, was led by Lex Knaebe with three hits. Schaefer Peterson had two hits and drove in three runs. Maddux Hermus drove in four runs and had a home run. Brady Merzlicker and Lucas Csida each had two hits and two RBIs, and Pierson Hacker had two hits.

Bryce Mischler pitched the first four innings to get the win. He did not allow an earned run and struck out two. Drew Furman pitched the final two innings and struck out two.

Appleton North 12, Oshkosh North 2

OSHKOSH – The Lightning, which led 2-0 after four innings, broke open their game with the Spartans with a nine-run fifth inning.

Aedan Waterstreet, Colin Reddy and Nathan Ramus each had two hits for Appleton North. Waterstreet’s two hits were doubles. Waterstreet and Brennan Otto each drove in three runs. Ramus drove in two runs.

Reddy pitched the first four innings, allowing one run on two hits and two walks to get the win.

Hortonville 6, Appleton West 1

HORTONVILLE – Elijah Yeager pitched a complete game, giving up one run and two hits to lead the Polar Bears to the win over the Terrors.

Xavier Enriquez drove in two runs for Hortonville, while Gary Wuest had a home run.

Kellin Gilbert took the loss for Appleton West. He allowed six runs (four earned) on two hits and four walks while striking out five.

Neenah 10, Kaukauna 0

NEENAH – Cal Juckem pitched a five-inning complete game to lead the Rockets to the Fox Valley Association win over the Ghosts.

Juckem allowed two hits, struck out eight and did not issue a walk.

Gus Weinholzer had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs for the Rockets.

Fond du Lac 10, Appleton East 1

APPLETON – The Cardinals scored three runs in the second inning and then broke open the game with four runs in the sixth in the win over the Patriots.

Jack Brenner led Fond du Lac with three hits and three runs scored.

Appleton East was limited to three hits and score its only run in the seventh inning.

Wrightstown 10, Freedom 1

FREEDOM – The Tigers scored nine runs in the sixth inning to break open a game that was deadlocked at 1-1 in their win over the Irish.

Ryan Leahy had three hits and drove in two runs for Wrightstown, while Mason Vande Hey had two hits and drove in three runs. Max Dockum also had two hits for Wrightstown.

Carson Peters and Carlton Romitti both had two hits for Freedom.

Jacob Miller pitched the first six innings for Wrightstown, allowing one run on six hits and three walks. He got the win. Michael Besel pitched the seventh inning.

Corey Mathison took the loss for Freedom despite striking out 10 batters.

Luxemburg-Casco 4, Little Chute 3

LUXEMBURG – The Spartans scored a run in the eighth inning on a single by Hudson Billings to claim the win over the Mustangs.

Billings had two hits and two RBIs for Luxemburg-Casco. Ethan Werner had two hits.

Gerritt Wittman had a home run for Little Chute.

Noah Chervenka pitched the first 7⅔ innings for Luxemburg-Casco, allowing three runs on five hits and four walks while striking out seven.

Billings recorded the final out in the top half of the eighth inning and got the win for Luxemburg-Casco.

Trevor Verhagen took the loss for Little Chute.

Waupaca 5, Oconto Falls 3

WAUPACA – The Comets built a 4-0 lead and then held off the Panthers to pick up the win.

Max Dolski and Jay Card had two hits and two RBIs for Waupaca. John Zeamer had two hits and scored twice.

Carter Heroux and Teagan Tate both had doubles for Oconto Falls. Tate drove in two runs.

Dolski got the win for Waupaca. He allowed three runs on five hits over seven innings.

Heroux started and took the loss for Oconto Falls. He gave up three runs on seven hits and one walk over four innings.

Denmark 19, Clintonville 0

CLINTONVILLE – After scoring four runs in the first inning, the Vikings added seven runs in the third inning and seven more in the fifth in their win over the Truckers.

Ozzie Enz had four hits, scored three runs and drove in three for Denmark. Cade Delarwelle had two hits and drove in three runs. Caden Kersten had two hits and three RBIs. Braedon Heezen had two hits, scored three runs and drove in three. David Dittmer also had two hits for Denmark.

Dittmer pitched a complete game for Denmark to get the win. He did not allow a hit while walking two and striking out five.

Winneconne 14, Green Bay East/West 0

GREEN BAY – The Wolves scored four times in the first inning and six in the third in their win over Green Bay East/West.

Noah Bouras pitched a five-inning no-hitter for Winneconne. He walked two and struck out eight.

Bouras had three hits and drove in two runs for Winneconne. Dallas Walker had two hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Colson Kleinschmidt had two hits for Winneconne.

Brady Anderson took the loss for Green Bay East/West.

Seymour 11, Shawano 3

SHAWANO – The Thunder, which led 3-1 after four innings, scored four times in both the fifth and seventh innings to break open the game against the Hawks.

Cayden Staffeldt had two hits with a double, scored twice and drove in two runs for Seymour. Jordan Thompson also had two hits, including a double.

Romy Oskey pitched a complete game for Seymour. He allowed three runs on seven hits while striking out six.

Brillion 12, Two Rivers 0

TWO RIVERS – Landen Mathes and James Shimek combined on a one-hitter in the Lions’ win over the Raiders.

Mathes pitched six innings and allowed one hit and three walks while striking out five. Shimek allowed one walk and struck out one.

Hayden Cousin had four hits for Brillion and scored three runs. Joe Shimek had three hits. Aiden Reinke had three hits, including a double, and two RBIs. Chase Braun also had two hits.

Noah Shillcox took the loss for Two Rivers.

Chilton 11, Valders 0

CHILTON – Jacob Thielman pitched four innings of three-hit ball to lead the Tigers to the win over the Vikings.

Kale Wagner pitched hitless ball over the final two innings for Chilton.

Carsin Cullen had two hits, including a double, and two RBIs for Chilton. Ryan Schmitz had two hits, including a double, and scored three runs. Easton Wagner scored three times and drove in two runs.

Cristian Hernandez, who had two hits including a double, started and took the loss for Valders.

St. Mary Catholic 14, Hilbert 5

HILBERT – The Zephyrs built a 9-0 lead through four innings in their win over the Wolves.

Mason Wagner, Owen DeWitt and Caleb Vogel each drove in two runs for St. Mary Catholic. DeWitt had two hits.

Carter Nicholson pitched five innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks to get the win. DeWitt pitched the final inning for SMC.

Spencer Karls took the loss for Hilbert.

Amherst 11, Weyauwega-Fremont 9

WEYAUWEGA – The Falcons scored four runs in the ninth inning and held on win after holding the Warhawks to two runs in Weyauwega-Fremont’s half of the ninth.

Weyauwega-Fremont had only four hits but took advantage of 14 walks by Amherst pitchers.

Sully Perkins pitched three innings and got the win for Amherst.

SOFTBALL

Hortonville 15, Appleton West 0

HORTONVILLE – The Polar Bears scored 10 runs in the first inning, four in the second and one in the third to earn the Fox Valley Association win.

Picking up two hits each for Hortonville were Braelyn Huettl, Evalyn Stanelle and Samantha D’Addario. Kennedy Van De Hey homered and drove in three runs and Madelyn Gassner homered, while Kyah Gass and D’Addario both tripled. Adding a double were Gass, Ivy Schroeder and Breanna Drechsel.

Kierra Wunderlich picked up the win, pitching all three innings and allowing one hit while striking out five.

Ali Raddatz had the Terrors’ lone hit, a double.

Kimberly 11, Oshkosh West 4

KIMBERLY – Sophie Hermus collected three hits in four at-bats as the Papermakers downed the Wildcats at Sunset Park. Hermus hit a solo home run in the fifth inning, doubled in the second and singled in the first.

Kimberly used a seven-run fifth to pull away for the Fox Valley Association win. Breckan Luedke hit a solo home run, Bella Ellestad homered to right field to score three runs, and Hermus hit a solo home run to center field.

Kendra Ruys earned the win for Kimberly, allowing six hits and four runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out two and walking two.

Kimberly amassed 10 hits in the game. Ellestad led the way with three runs batted in, while Luedtke had two hits.

Winneconne 8, Xavier 6

APPLETON – The Wolves scored four runs in the first, one in the third and three in the seventh as they held off the Hawks to earn the Bay Conference win.

Xavier scored three in the first, one in the fifth and two in the seventh.

Powering the Winneconne offense were Mollie Pamer, who was 3-for-4 with two RBIs; Aubrey Mitchell, who was 3-for-4 with a homer and two RBIs; Avery Samolinski, who was 2-for-4; and Grace Mitchell, who homered and drove in two runs.

Morgan Staszak had the hot bat for the Hawks, going 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Quinn Hervey was 2-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and one run scored.

Seymour 1, Shawano 0

SHAWANO – Kendra Rettler allowed just one walk while striking out nine batters as the Thunder slipped past the Hawks in Bay Conference action.

Alexis Corn had two hits for Seymour, while Aryah Krahn drove in the game’s only run in the fifth inning.

Lily Bubolz took the loss for Shawano, allowing four hits and one unearned run with one walk and two strikeouts.

Fox Valley Lutheran 8, Menasha 0

MENASHA – Olivia Fischer, Kinley Peterson and Tenley Wolfrath each collected two hits, while Brianna Dahlke and Lexi Hanson drove in two runs each en route to the Bay Conference victory.

Madison Babcock shut down the Bluejays on two hits, striking out 13.

FVL scored one run in the first, four in the fourth, two in the sixth and one in the seventh.

Thora Nordlinder and Meghan Reh had hits for Menasha.

Freedom 10, Wrightstown 0

WRIGHTSTOWN – The Irish took advantage of five walks and six errors en route to the North Eastern Conference win.

Freedom scored five runs in the first, one in the second, two in the fourth and two in the sixth.

Kourtney Moeller doubled and drove in two runs, while Alexis Krull added a double.

Charlie Bowker was 2-for-3 to lead the Tigers’ offense.

Jessa McArtney picked up the win in the circle, pitching six innings and allowing four hits and one walk while striking out four.

Little Chute 10, Clintonville 9

CLINTONVILLE – The Mustangs used a six-run fifth inning to rally past the Truckers for the North Eastern Conference win.

Clintonville led 3-1 after one, 6-1 after two and 8-3 after four before Little Chute was able to get the upperhand. Both teams scored single runs in the sixth.

Bella Pfrang had the hot bat for the Mustangs, going 4-for-4 with a double and four RBIs.

Abby Tate powered the Truckers, going 3-for-3 with two doubles, one home run, five RBIs and four runs scored.

Denmark 4, Waupaca 0

WAUPACA – Maggie Frank shut down the Comets on four hits, allowing three walks and striking out eight as the Vikings earned the North Eastern Conference win.

Hazel Fields was 2-for-3, while Vanny Umentum was 2-for-4 with a double to help lead the Denmark attack. Olivia Frank and Maggie Frank each added doubles.

Hailey Bechard was 2-for-3 with a double to power the Waupaca offense.

Hilbert 11, St. Mary Catholic 10

HILBERT – The Wolves erased a two-run deficit with five runs in the fourth inning and held on for the Big East Conference triumph.

Hilbert led 1-0 after one and 6-2 after two before the Zephyrs scored six times in the third to take the lead. St. Mary Catholic closed the gap with two runs in the seventh, but came up short.

The Wolves were led by Aurora Sromek, who was 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs. Grace Kloehn was 3-for-4 with a double, Grace Ruby was 2-for-4 with a double, and Maddie Schnurer was 2-for-3.

Emmi Weiss was 3-for-5 with a double and two RBIs for SMC. Breanna Neubert added two hits.

Brooke Bradley was the winning pitcher. She went four innings, allowed five hits, two runs and struck out one.

Amherst 21, Weyauwega-Fremont 3

WEYAUWEGA – The Falcons scored early and often to earn the Central Wisconsin Conference win.

Amherst scored eight runs in the first inning, six in the second, three in the fourth and four in the fifth. The Warhawks scored all three of their runs in the fourth.

Ivy Boelk and Sam Nooyen led the Falcons with three hits and three RBIs each, Jackie Nooyen and Calee Schulist added two hits and three RBIs each, and Delaney Conner was 2-for-4 with three runs scored. Two of Jackie Nooyen’s hits were triples, while one Sam Nooyen’s hits was a double.

Bonduel 8, Manawa 1

BONDUEL – The Bears broke open a tight game, scoring four runs in the fifth and two in the sixth to earn the Central Wisconsin Conference win.

Mary Margelofsky was 2-for-2, while Jayla Reinke doubled and Marlie Hartmann drove in three runs to power Bonduel.

Emery Thompson earned the win in the circle, pitching seven innings and allowing three hits, one earned run and two walks while striking out 13.

Callie Pethke drove in Manawa’s lone run.

The Bears scored one in the first and second innings and led 2-1 heading to the fifth.

GIRLS SOCCER

Kimberly 3, Pulaski 1

PULASKI – The Papermakers got two goals from Vada Sousek and one from Ashlyn Krueger in the win over the Red Raiders.

Sousek, Emily Urban and Ayla Raasch each recorded an assist for Kimberly.

Pulaski’s goal was scored by Ruth Krause. Leah Grygiel had an assist.

GIRLS LACROSSE

Appleton United 10, Notre Dame 9 (Tuesday)

GREEN BAY – Chloe Rhoda scored four goals for Appleton in the victory over the Tritons.

Candice Guerrero and Riley Harris each had two goals. Kailey Heindel and Kayden Smit also scored. Guerrero, Rhoda and Sasha Sanchez had assists.

Morgan Muntner had four saves and Rachel Racine made three saves in goal for Appleton.

Cooper Effa won both hurdles events for Little Chute, taking first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of :15.52 and the 300 hurdles with a time of :39.33. Effa also won the high jump at a height of 6-6.

Little Chute’s other first-place finish came from Ben Toeppler in the 1,600-meter run, winning the event with a time of 4:43.77.

Jenna Kinas had a first-place finish for Kaukauna in the 300-meter hurdles with a time of :46.60. Teammate Madison Koschnik won the high jump at a height of 5-4.

Keira Plate won the shot put with a toss of 36-8.5 for Kaukauna, while teammate Misty Borchert won the discus with a throw of 126-4.

Ashwaubenon’s Lera Black won the triple jump with a jump of 36-9 and the pole vault at a height of 11-6.

Manitowoc Lutheran was propelled to the win with first-place finishes in three individual events and one relay event.

The Oconto Falls quartet of Brady Bursa, Croix Gardebrecht, Gage Shallow and Elijah White won the 400-meter relay with a time of :44.41.

Bursa won the long jump with a leap of 22-10.

Hilbert had one first-place finish. Ezra Sevela won the high jump at a height of 5-8.

Mishicot used three first-place finishes in individual events plus overall depth to win the girls meet.

Oconto Falls had two wins in the relays. Emery Pagel, Brooke Fenlon, Gracie Miller and Rylie Shallow won the 400-meter relay with a time of :50.34, while Mackenzie Lotto, Alexandria Braund, Lily Meissner and Sydney Braund won the 3,200 in 10:50.10.

Fenlon won the long jump with a leap of 15-5.75.

Hilbert’s Liz Schneider won the shot put with a toss of 34-5.75.
