A 59-year-old Antigo man died in a crash May 19 in Shawano County.

Based on the sheriff’s office investigation, a semi truck was westbound on State 29 through the construction zone. A large part of the road was cut out in the left lane and a tire on the semi truck hit the cut out, causing it to blow. The Antigo man lost control and the semi flipped over into the median, the sheriff’s office said.

The man was trapped inside and pronounced dead. The eastbound lanes of State 29 were blocked because of the semi. Both the semi and trailer had severe damage.
