An Amtrak train headed from Milwaukee to Chicago crashed into a construction vehicle Sept. 21 in Lake Forest, Illinois, authorities say.
The person operating the construction vehicle, a front-end loader, was treated at a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Lake Forest Police Department.

None of the 206 passengers and crew members on the train were injured, Amtrak spokesperson Marc Magliari said.
Police say the collision happened around 12:05 p.m. Sept. 21, and prompted emergency response from the Lake Forest police and fire departments.
The front-end loader was working on maintenance on the track, police said.
Magliari said the train was canceled and all passengers finished their route to Chicago on a Metra train.
Normal train operations resumed by late afternoon Sept. 21, Magliari said.
