The Dallas Cowboys went the predictable way and drafted a safety and two edge rushers with their top three picks and figure to draft some more defense on the final day of the 2026 NFL draft.
The Cowboys come into the final day with three fourth-round picks, one fifth-round pick, and one seventh-round pick, and so far they have shown a willingness to trade, having already traded away three picks while acquiring two.
They go into the final day with the biggest needs at cornerback and off-ball linebacker, and will probably also take an offensive tackle at some point.
The fourth round goes on the clock at 10 a.m. MT/11 a.m. CT.

Here is the list of the Cowboys’ picks for the NFL draft, which is April 23-25. The first round is on the 23rd, the second and third are on the 24th and rounds three through seven are on the 25th.

Dallas Cowboys draft trades
The Dallas Cowboys made two trades in Thursday’s first round of the 2026 NFL draft, then made another trade on Friday. They swapped their No. 20 pick with division rival Philadelphia’s 23rd pick. In addition to No. 23, Dallas received the Eagles’ Nos. 114, 137 (both fourth rounders) while the Eagles picked up a seventh-round pick next season. Dallas drafted UCF edge Malachi Lawrence with the 23rd pick.
Earlier, the Cowboys moved up from 12th to 11th (with the Miami Dolphins) to draft Ohio State safety Caleb Downs. They also gave up two of their three fifth-round picks (Nos. 177 and 180) in this year’s draft to the Dolphins.
On Friday, they traded their remaining 5th-round pick for San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dee Winters, a third-year player out of TCU.
