Ahead of the much-anticipated release of EA Sports’ College Football 2027 video game, among the 138 teams represented, Texas A&M’s 2026 roster, now including 17 transfer portal additions, was, in this writer’s humble opinion, accurately graded based on past performances and potential. For starters, quarterback Marcel Reed enters the season as one of the SEC’s top signal callers, but is still nationally underrated.
This week, it was revealed that star wide receiver Mario Craver earned the team’s highest overall rating of 91 with 94 speed and 96 agility, while safeties Dalton Brooks and Marcus Ratcliffe, widely recognized as the top defensive back duo in the conference, are tied for second at 89 overall.
After making the College Football Playoff for the first time in program history, coach Mike Elko is looking to take the next step heading into his third season at the helm, despite taking on one of the toughest SEC schedules, facing road tests vs. LSU, Missouri, South Carolina, Alabama, and Oklahoma.
Still, among the 43 new additions from the portal and 2026 signing class, Elko’s third roster is built to compete for the CFP, and if the College Football 27 ratings tell us anything, the Aggies will be in contention to win 10 or 11 games and get back to the postseason.
