Texas A&M's Kaeden Kent’s breakout June strengthens Double-A case

Former Texas A&M infielder Kaeden Kent has put together one of his strongest stretches of the season, and with each passing game, he looks more and more like a player ready for the jump to Double-A. Baseball is a sport built on handling the highs and lows, and Kent’s month of June has been a masterclass in staying committed to an approach and stacking quality at‑bats.

Kent has been stuffing the stat sheet all month. He’s currently riding a five‑game hitting streak and has logged 10 multi-hit games in June alone. For the month, he’s slashing .323/.356/.484 with an .840 OPS, totaling 30 hits, nine doubles, two home runs, and 15 RBI. With three games left, he has a real chance to push those numbers even higher and further cement the consistency he’s shown throughout the year.

A call-up feels inevitable; the only question is when. Until that moment comes, you can bet on Kent continuing to make the decision harder on the Yankees’ development staff. He’s proving he can sustain success, adjust quickly, and produce at a level that demands attention beyond High‑A.
