BoomBah Fireworks Show

BoomBah Fireworks will be hosting their annual fireworks show on Sunday at 156 Farm to Market 2404, celebrating America 250 with an evening filled with family fun, food trucks, and fireworks.

Food trucks will begin at 7:30 p.m., including BBQ, pizza, popcorn, shaved ice, funnel cakes and more. Fireworks will begin at dark.

Americas Block Party

Celebrate America’s 250 years of freedom at America’s Block Party on July Fourth from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Pedestrian Plaza, 100 Cypress Street.

Abilene Farmers Markets Big Summer Bash

Celebrate America’s Independence Day by supporting local farmers, crafters and small businesses at the Abilene Farmers Markets Big Summer Bash from 8 a.m. to noon on July Fourth at North First and Mesquite streets.

This family-friendly event is even free to attend and will include live music, a coffee truck, kids’ activities and local vendors and artists.

30th annual Hillcrest Neighborhood Fourth of July Parade

Hillcrest Church of Christ will be holding their 30th annual Fourth of July Parade and Ice Cream Social on July 4, 2026.

The parade starts at 2490 Campus Court at 10 a.m. and will last approximately two hours, followed by a free ice cream social at the church’s gym, 650 E. Ambler Ave.

Fourth of July Celebration featuring the Abilene Community Band

Celebrate America 250 and the 50th anniversary of the Abilene Community Band at this free family-friendly event outside the Episcopal Church of Heavenly Rest, 602 Meander St.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with free hot dogs and popcorn, and music begins at 7 p.m. The band will be premiering a new piece titled “Purple Mountain Majesties” written for this event by composer Kendall Ray Prinz.

Freedom of War at WesTX Abilene Raceway

Join WesTX Abilene Raceway on July Fourth for a day of live racing followed by a fireworks show. Spectator gates open at 11 a.m. with a driver meet-and-greet from noon-3 p.m.

Racing begins at 3.30 p.m., followed by the fireworks show beginning at 9:30 p.m. Racing will resume after the fireworks show. Kids 12 and under are free, and tickets for the event can be purchased on the day of at the gate.

Fourth of July Family Picnic

Celebrate America 250 with a barbecue picnic at the Perini Ranch steakhouse at 3002 Farm to Market Road 89. Doors open at 11 a.m. on July Fourth. The menu includes brisket, sausage, ranch beans, potato salad, cake and more.

Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased from the Perini Ranch Steakhouse website.

Buffalo Gap Fourth of July Parade

Buffalo Gap will be hosting its annual Fourth of July parade on July 4 beginning at 10 a.m. Following the parade will be a watermelon eating contest and live music.
