Texas Tech football earns commitment from 3-star TE Zayden Smith

The Texas Tech football team landed another offensive weapon for its 2027 recruiting class.

Zayden Smith out of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, announced his commitment to the Red Raiders through social media on Saturday. Smith is rated a three-star recruit at 247Sports.

Listed at 6-foot-4 and 200 pounds, Smith plays for Cumberland Valley High School and earned offers from the likes of Ohio State, Penn State and Syracuse before choosing Texas Tech.
