Texas Tech football continues on a hot streak with the latest commitment from four-star wide receiver Julian Caldwell. The Argyle wideout chose the Red Raiders over the Oregon Ducks and Texas Longhorns. According to 247Sports’ composite rating, Caldwell is ranked as the No. 17 wide receiver in Texas and the No. 93 overall prospect.
Caldwell made the decision on Saturday afternoon, and it was broadcast on YouTube. He joins a Texas Tech class that is ranked No. 2 overall by On3 and Rivals. He joins fellow four-star wide receiver Benny Easter Jr. in the 2027 recruiting class.
Scouts are high on Caldwell’s play, given that he is the complete package as a pass catcher. There isn’t a route that isn’t in his wheelhouse. Once the Red Raiders get him and Easter on campus, it will likely be hard to keep them from climbing up the depth chart, provided they sign in the winter and arrive on campus in the spring.
Tech continues to prove they are the class of the new Big 12 as the Red Raiders staff continues to win these battles on the recruiting trail.
